Sugarloaf Path (East Coast Trail Association map N#1), a 9 km (5.6 mi) path is readily accessible from either Quidi Vidi Village or the Marine Science Lab in Logy Bay. Three dominant high point vistas can be enjoyed along this rugged coast with a recently stepped pathway linking all. The path traverses downwind of the Robin Hood Bay landfill where recent improvements have lessened the overflow plastic pollution problem.  Enjoy lovely vistas of the coast from atop Sugarloaf Head and gorgeous vistas of the city all the way to Cape Spear, from the Bawdens Highlands end of this wonderful path.

Trail Distance: 8.9 km (5.5 mi)

Accessibility Notes

At Quidi Vidi, park at the northeast end of Quidi Vidi Lake, near the two large storage tanks. At Logy Bay, park at the designated East Coast Trail lot, just before the Ocean Sciences Centre. A detailed map of this path is available from the East Coast Trail Association (http://eastcoasttrail.ca/).  The East Coast Trail Association is a registered charity, member supported, and volunteer based.
