Description of Event

Each year, the Craft Council of Newfoundland and Labrador's Clay Studio holds a dynamic outdoor craft event at Middle Cove Beach. It's called the "Beach Firing," and demonstrates to the public an ancient art of pit firing, with festivities and a pottery sale directly on the beach during the all-day, free-to-the-public event.

Passersby can purchase beautiful ceramic-ware straight out of the fire -- talk about your unique shopping experience! Culture, craft, and community come together at this unique outdoor experience.

Check out our Facebook event listing, where you can find cool photos, details and more here!

This is an all-day event! The fire is lit around 10am and the first pieces ready for purchase at 1 p.m.-ish. Spend the day in the stunning surroundings of Middle Cove Beach for a taste of art, culture, and sea breezes, while supporting a local non-profit.

**NOTE** Rain date is next sunny weekend day.
