The building of Balmoral B&B over a century ago was the home of a successful British merchant family and in the more recent years, the childhood residence of Dr. Gwynne Dyer. Serene set­ting, and guest bedrooms with a spectacular view of the Old City, Signal Hill, Cabot Tower and "the Narrows" - the entrance to St. John's City Harbour.

We have created the ambiance of a small boutique hotel while maintaining our own distinctive decor. We offer guest rooms with en-suite washrooms, sitting areas, antique furnishings, local artwork, clock radio, alarm, and flat screen color cable TV. Our rooms are reconstructed with sound retardant materials featuring enhanced mattresses, black-out drapes, variable lighting levels, and glow lamps.

We try to provide bedrooms that give guests the feeling of comfort, security and well-being. Extra efforts are made to keep our bedrooms above normal cleanliness.
